Alfa Romeo finish first and second in 2019 Mille Miglia

Saturday 18th May 2019
Once again, an Alfa Romeo has won this years Mille Miglia. In fact, the legendary marque took first and second place too, third was taken by a Bugatti, which is a shame, as last year it was a clean sweep with a one, two, three for the historic Milanese brand.
First place was taken by Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti, car number 59, their 1928 Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SSA, second by Andrea Vesco and Andrea Guerini driving car number 81 a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato. Both crews finished in the top three in last years event but were topped by car number 85, the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 GS Fixed Head of Argentinian crew, Juan Tonconogy and Barbara Ruffini. Tonconogy and his Alfa Romeo were not unfamiliar with the podium, finish having taken victory in the 2013 and 2015 Mille Miglia with co-pilot Guillermo Berisso

Is there any better proof of the provenance and history of the legendary brand that is Alfa Romeo.
